Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an writer, philanthropist and television host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she was able to move to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. She was the first student who was not from the UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. It was possible for her to recruit many prominent contributors to share their opinions about politics and culture. Arianna's popularity was first noticed in 2003 when she declared herself an independent candidate in the California recall vote to replace then-Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna also spearheaded a Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient cars. Her name was voted as the most Popular Women in Media by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th place in that list. In the same year Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. In 2012, she became the President of AOL's media group. It was comprised of several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant. While she enjoyed a strong relationship with both her father and mother, it was their bond that shaped her. Even during her formative years, she exhibited leadership skills for which she is still well-known. at the age of 16 she relocated into the United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate club. As the third woman president and the first foreigner she was the president of the Cambridge Union. In 1972, she graduated with a Master's Degree in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a columnist critic and a television host. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing her own books with his help.
