Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. The majority of her childhood was located in Los Angeles where she came from a family of middle-class. Her mother was a film enthusiast and was a constant source of encouragement to her love for movies as a young person. Paula loved participating in school co-curriculars and she was a huge fan of drama. Paula was a fantastic actress, and she enjoyed performing alongside her fellow students. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many opportunities to act during her high school years and she picked acting to pursue a career. She attended the University of Southern California in a summer program and thoroughly enjoyed her stint. She received a 3-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. When she was successful in completing the project, she started working as a production assistant for TV documentaries. Following the completion of her project, she started producing documentary films. However, she had always wanted to become an actress, even though she was satisfied with her current job. She began her acting career with a small character in the film romantic comedy Hitch, alongside Will Smith. In the years since, she's appeared in many movies and shows.
